DanboSeries

So recently I got a little figure called Danbo. It's pretty much just a little figure of Amazon boxes put together to look like a little person. My boyfriend has one too, so when I went to see him at the weekend we took pictures of both of them together. These a few of what I came up with -

Here the Danbo's are trying to put the battery into the camera and take a picture. In the first picture they are taking the battery to the Camera. I carefully balanced the battery onto their arms while they were standing with their arms interlinked with eachother. In the second one, they dropped the battery into the floor. I stuck the arm to Danbo's face using blue tac. In the third picture they finally got the battery in. In the the fourth they are ready to take the photos. I used blue tac to stick one of the danbo's onto the button.

In this picture one danbo is consoling the other who is feeling down. It can be seen as giving them a kiss on the cheek. I decided to do this because last week I felt really down, for no reason. Although this happens a lot. This time felt different. I just wanted to hide myself away from the world, just to be with the boyfriend, to have him give me a kiss on the cheek. I edited this to made the colours quite cold/dull, to represent the sadness. So this picture is meant to represent how i felt.

This its just simply two danbos holding hands looking up. I had to use blue tac to get them to stand up whilst having their legs look like they are walking as they kept falling over other wise!

All photos have been edited in Lightroom, but just really brightening up the colours, and make things look a little sharper.

Peace.

CatchUp!

So I know I haven't written a post in a while, just been busy, and so tired recently! Not really huge amount to write about. Oh apart from seeing Dara O'brien, must have been a couple of weeks now? He was amazing! So different to when you see him on Mock the Week. He swears a lot more! But it's not over the top, all his jokes are rude kind of swearing. He made a lot of jokes about him being Irish, and picked on the audience a lot.We had our own bob the builder in the audience! Ended up seeing some family friends there too that we didn't know were going. Small world 'ey! Overall it was a good night out, few beers that are brewed in cornwall <3 few laughs!

The Saturday after, I went to watch Arsenal vs. Tottenham. That was a great day! I went with my dad, was nice just to spend some time with him as I don't much. Arsenal of course won 5-2. The atmosphere of being in the stadium, watching the game with people you know nothing about but all share the same passion of wanting the team you are behind to win! It is always much better than watching it at home in your lounge.

Peace.

BeautyOfSouthAfrica

This isn't me bragging about where I have been, but yes I did go to South Africa a few years back. This was taken before I go my Canon, so I took it with just an ordinary point and shoot camera. I did a bit of editing in lightroom, basically just brightened up the colours a bit and here w are. I just love this picture, it captures the beauty the coast of South Africa has. This is near Cape Point, where the Indian Ocean meets the pacific. Contrary to what some people believe, you can see the physical line where they meet as the seas happen to be the same colour. Despite the fact it was their winter, the skies were just rich in blue, the sea was so clear and everything seemed peaceful. When I got home, got slightly disappointed when the picture made the scene almost seem dull and not as bright! As soon as I discovered lightroom needless to say this was one of the first pictures I edited. I wont ramble on too much more, instead i'll let you just soak up the beauty.

Peace.

NailOfTheWeek

I love having my nails painted. I can barely go a day with out having my nails painted. The colour always reflects my mood of when I paint them. Bright colours mean I'm often happy or excited, and dull colours, grey or black, mean I'm a little down or whatever. Its kind of my way of showing my mood as I don't express it physically that much. I decided to try the newspaper nails. To do this, I painted my nails a pale green. Waited for them to dry. Online I read that you need rubbing alcohol, now I don't have any rubbing alcohol, I just have, well, alcohol. Some sites suggested vodka does the trick, so used vodka. I dipped my dry nails into the vodka, got a strip of newspaper just a bit bigger than my nails and applied the newspaper to my nails. Hold it on for around half a minute, careful not to move the newspaper, and carefully take the paper off. Then hopefully the ink form the newspaper has transferred onto your nails. To stop the ink then rubbing off, it's best to apply a clear top coat. I use Barry M version, as this is a base coat, top coat, and strengthens nails. And you are done! It goes without out saying to use a pale colour, as the text will then be easier to see. The colour I used may have been a little too dark. Or the ink wasn't strong enough!

JustOneWeek

So as you can probably guess, not much has really happened, but I'll ramble on with the small things that has happened.
So Saturday, being the Saturday before bonfire night, went to a local firework display. Last time I went to it was two years ago and it was held next to a small local pub. The atmosphere was always great, being by the canal too. Families having fun with their little kids. When I left to go to university they had moved the display to a near by Rugby ground, so this year was my first year going their. The atmosphere was still pretty much there so that was a bonus. Bumped into some family friends I guess you could call them. Watched all the fireworks with a pint of Guinness. If you exclude the street light that was on right in front of us, the fireworks looked lovely!
Earlier that day I went for a gym session, had a trainer give me a plan of what to do. Man it's tough! Decided I need to get my fitness back after I got worn out walking down my hill the other day! (I know, walking down a hill should be easy right?). Going to start going to the gym before work, that way I am awake and raring to go for work! Well that's the plan at least! Continuing on the exercise front, played badminton on Sunday morning with my dad and some of his friends. With it being the first time in 2 years, safe to say I felt it on Monday morning! All my muscles were aching!

Paris.

THE LOURVE PARK
LOCK OF LOVE BRIDGE
MOULIN ROUGE
PARIS IN LIGHTS

So last weekend I went to Paris for the boyfriends 21st. Went on Friday morning and came back Sunday night. It was just the most amazing weekend I have had in a long time! On the Friday we went to the Notre Damn Cathedral  went into the Treasury bit they had there. We walked around a bit and came across a bridge which had thousands of padlocks on one side of the bridge. All the padlocks couples had written their names and the date added, or drawn little pictures, all memories of them being in love in 'the capiutal of love'. After a bit of walking around we then decided to walk to the Eiffel Tower. By the time we got there it was dark, and just looking over the city all lit up in lights just looked magical! The next day walking to the Jardins Du Luxemburg. Despite it raining, the gardens still look beautiful, especially in autumn. They were just so big too. That evening I took him to the Moulin Rouge. I had always wanted to go after watching the film with Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor. Looking outside, you can really image what it would have been like during it peak. The windmill looking so bright against the dark night of the sky. You werent allowed to take cameras into the room annoyingly, but did get a couple of pictures of us taken by them selling a couple for a relatively good price. The meal was delicious, typical French steak was yum! the dessert was just scrumptious. As for the show. It was just Magical. Nipples everywhere! Hot guys, with amazing bodies too. All the glitz and glam you could ever ask for. The day after we walked to the Lourve and sat int he park there for a few hours, soaking up the French atmosphere one last time before getting the taxi to the Gare D'Nord. It was a little sad leaving, with the whole weekend going by so fast, too fast.

Peace.

FormulaOne

FORCE INDIA - HULKENBERG

I also follow Formula 1 with my main team being Red bull, but do follow Force India too.

I took the picture above using my Cannon 450D camera. Only editing I did was increased the vibrance a little, and made the blacks darker. To take the picture I focused and took the picture whilst moving at the camera with the car. I continually did this with most of the cars for the first and last few laps. Unlike others there I dont watch the race through the viewfinder!

As you may have guessed I have watched a couple of races, going to Silverstone for the past couple of years, with going again this year and also going to Spa in Belgium. The experience and atmosphere at a race is just amazing! It overweight's the argument that you don't watch all the race and never really know what happens elsewhere massively!

With the parents supporting McLaren and Hamilton in particular, makes a good atmosphere watching the race at home, with having a little banter.

Though I do support Red Bull and I guess Force India, there are a few other drivers that I watch out for, like Rosberg and Perez.

Peace.

TheStart

To begin with, my name is not actually Emmannuelle. it's actually Emma. I have this strange liking to the name Emmannuelle.

I decided to start writing a blog. not sure what I'm going to write about as of yet, but we will soon see! So guess I should start by introducing myself? Well I am currently twenty years old. In my third, but not final, year of university. Currently in my placement year. I study computer security so naturally working in a computer security company. The course is tough as you would imagine! Coincidentally I am also the only girl in my year studying the course, surprise surprise!

However over the years my passion for photography has grown a lot recently! So expect a lot of this blog to be about photography (: (yes I do my smiley faces backwards). I'd like to travel around the world, taking pictures and sharing my experiences with everyone. I recently brought an old Zenit 3M film SLR Camera, from Ukraine, but then USSR. I plan to start developing my own film and do everything myself, though will take some time! I also have a Cannon 450D digital SLR. I have had it for around four years now, and though it's not the new and amazing camera, still does the trick. Once I take photos i tend to edit some mainly on Lightroom, but occasionally use Adobe Photoshop. With any photos I blog, I plan to explain what settings I used (e.g. shutter speed, av etc) and if/how I edited them.

Anyway that's enough about me for the time being!

Peace.
